When does $5.7 million per week register on Apple's bottom line?

The 15-30% cut taken by Apple when a developer is selling on the App Store is challenged (for dating apps for now) by the Netherlands as an anticompetitive practice. As such, the Dutch anti-trust watchdog asked Apple to modify its way of dealing with payments through the App store. A minor technical fix, but a tremendous challenge of the tech giant business model.

So far, the Netherlands fined Apple for five consecutive weeks (and counting). You have to respect the proverbial Dutch stubbornness.

This is going to court and will probably be a long story, but this is one of the ways you regulate tech. These companies are over-extended and can be pushed against so many things by so many governments...
