🔵 Cruising in chaos - Part 3, Reality check: Are you in the chaos zone?
In this series of articles for the summer, I explore the key differences between innovation during linear and relatively stable times and those like... now.
The third discussion in this series is about the nature of chaos, or more precisely, how do you know you are in a chaotic market and need to adjust your tools, mindset, and innovation strategy?
Remember, in linear times, innovation feels safe, rational, and easy to explain to a boardroom. It’s the land of known knowns and known unknowns—territories we can explore with data, planning, and confidence. This is where most traditional innovation strategies live: roadmaps, KPIs, funnels, and “smart bets” on things we already partially understand. Business schools love this zone because success here can be taught, modeled, and replicated.
Now?
Now are different times.
